Royal Rumble 1989 was the second annual Royal Rumble event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), and the first to be held on pay-per-view (PPV). It took place on January 15, 1989 in Houston, Texas.

- King Haku (with Bobby Heenan) defeated Harley Race to retain his King of the Ring crown and cape.
