WWE Payback 2023

Payback 2023 was the seventh Payback pay-per-view and livestreaming event produced by WWE. It was held for superstars from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. The event took place on September 2, 2023 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was the first Payback held since 2020. John Cena served as the host of the event.

• LA Knight defeated The Miz with John Cena as the special guest referee.
• Rey Mysterio defeated Austin Theory to retain the WWE United States Championship.
• The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and Damian Priest) defeated Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a Steel City street fight to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships.
• Rhea Ripley defeated Raquel Rodriguez to retain the WWE Women's World Championship.

Main Event

• Seth Rollins defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
