On the December 22, 2023 episode of SmackDown, Karrion Kross and Scarlett appeared in a vignette, stating that they had formed a new alliance, but without revealing the identities of their new associates. On SmackDown New Year's Revolution, Kross, accompanied by Scarlett, attacked Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) alongside the Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) and Paul Ellering, who officially made their return to WWE, confirming their alliance in the process. On the following episode of SmackDown, the stable was officially named the Final Testament during a backstage vignette. On February 3, the Final Testament once again attacked Lashley, Dawkins, and Ford until B-Fab attacked Scarlett and helped the trio out in order to even the odds.
