On the September 21, 2021 episode of NXT, Legend made her televised debut during a backstage segment with Franky Monet. On the September 28 episode of NXT, Legend began hosting a pre-taped talk show named Lashing Out with Lash Legend. On the December 10 episode of 205 Live, Legend made her in-ring debut, where she defeated Amari Miller, establishing herself as a heel.
In February 2022, Legend and Miller confirmed they would team up to compete in the women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, however, the duo was eliminated in the first round after losing to the team of Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray. On March 1, after both teams were argued each other, this led to a rematch where Legend defeated Miller. On March 8, at Roadblock, Legend interviewed Nikkita Lyons during Lashing Out with Lash Legend, which ended up with the two having a heated argument. The two faced each other on the April 5 and 26 episodes of NXT, where Legend lost to Lyons both times. At Spring Breakin', Legend and Natalya lost to Cora Jade and Lyons in a tag team match. Shortly after, Legend entered the NXT Women's Breakout Tournament, where she made it to the semifinals, where she lost to Roxanne Perez. After Alba Fyre defeated Tatum Paxley on the June 7 episode of NXT, Legend attacked her starting a feud between the two. Legend lost to Fyre on the June 21 episode of NXT by disqualification after she attacked Fyre with the latter's bat and on the August 2 episode. A week later, Legend aided Pretty Deadly to their defeat of Edris Enofe and Malik Blade, forming a brief alliance between the three. Beginning in August, Legend began allying with Jakara Jackson. They had their first televised appearance as a team on the November 11 episode of NXT Level Up, where they lost to Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley.
On May 28, 2023, at NXT Battleground, during a British Rounds Rules match for the NXT Heritage Cup between the champion Noam Dar and Dragon Lee, Legend, alongside Jackson, interfered in favor of Dar, helping him to retain the Heritage Cup in the process. Dar would then introduce the group of himself, Legend, Jackson and Oro Mensah as The Meta-Four. Legend and Jackson would win their first match as a team at NXT Gold Rush by defeating Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon. On the February 20, 2024 episode of NXT, Legend faced Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women's Championship in an open challenge after Valkyria's initial opponent, Shotzi, suffered a torn ACL halfway through their title match. However, Legend failed to defeat Valkyria for the title. On April 6, The Meta-Four served as the hosts of NXT Stand and Deliver. At the event, NXT General Manager Ava announced the newly created NXT Women's North American Championship, and Legend went through as one of the top twelve participants from the preliminary combine to compete for a spot in the six-woman ladder match to crown the inaugural champion at NXT Battleground. During week two of Spring Breakin', Legend interrupted Trick Williams' celebration of winning the NXT Championship the week before and revealed that Meta-Four had a secret that would derail his title reign. On the May 7 episode of NXT during Supernova Sessions, Legend revealed that she was having a relationship with Williams. The following week, Legend defeated Ivy Nile to qualify for a spot at NXT Battleground, which she would ultimately lose. During week one of The Great American Bash on July 30, Jackson and Legend failed to defeat The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. Prior to their match, Legend and the rest of The Meta-Four turned face when stablemate Oro Mensah began feuding with Ethan Page, who attacked him and Noam Dar backstage back in May. On the October 11 episode of SmackDown, Legend and Jackson made their main roster debut where they unsuccessfully challenged WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill for the titles. Jackson and Legend made their second main roster appearance days later on the October 14 episode of Raw, where they cost Damage Control (Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane) their WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match from ringside. On the October 22 episode of NXT, Jackson and Legend fought Damage Control to a no contest after interference from Chelsea Green and Piper Niven. On the following episode of SmackDown, the three brands' general managers announced that Belair and Cargill would defend their titles against Legend and Jackson, Sky and Sane, and Green and Niven in a fatal four-way tag team match at Crown Jewel, where Belair and Cargill retained their titles.
