Mak debuted for WWE on March 16, 2016 at an NXT live event, where, under the name Dan Matha, he won his first singles match, defeating Alexander Wolfe. The following month on April 8, Matha won his second NXT singles match, defeating Christopher Girard.
In April 2018, Matha entered the Greatest Royal Rumble, which was won by Braun Strowman. The following year in 2019, Matha returned to the ring during a March 28 live event, where he defeated Albert Hardie, Jr..
In 2019, Matha formed a tag team with Riddick Moss on the NXT live event scene. Their first match was during a May 3 live event, wrestling two tag team matches. They won their first tag match, defeating Cal Bloom and Denzel Dejournette. During the May 17 live event, Robert Strauss introduced the team under their new name The Outliers. They went on to wrestle in further live events against the Street Profits during the month. During the June 29 live event, Matha debuted his new ring name Dorian Mak in a four-way elimination tag match.
On April 16, 2020 he was released from his WWE contract.
